Cameroon Highlands!!!
Thank You!!!!!
For your lovely entries for MBP
And also for a whole lot of emails and comments asking when my cam is going to be back!!!! It feels nice when you know that someone is missing you.
My cam should be back by next weekend (I hope so) all hail and hearty
or else I go ahead and buy a new one!!!!!
I have one recipe already clicked and on my laptop before my cam decided to fall sick, but before I post that let me show this beautiful hill station in Malaysia where I went last month for a short holiday
. The Cameroon Highlands!!!
Its a beautiful hill station, about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lampur and because of its wonderful climate it is rich in its plantation of flowers and fruits and one of the largest producers of tea in the South East Asia. A much pleasant nature view compared to the concrete jungles in the big city!!!
The climate was just AWESOME!!! It was cold and foggy, and everyday the sun was trying to peep out of the clouds, but never managed to come out.
The scenic and lush road up to Cameron Highlands and then to our hotel was dotted with fruit, flower and vegetable farms. These are a few which were planted in hotel garden.
When I saw this plant, I felt it was a monkey sitting on the pot!!!!!
It’s called as
The tea plantations were all over the place!!! Anywhere you look, you can see a lush green carpet spread out below the foggy sky!!!
These are the freshly plucked tea leaves collected and kept for delivery to the factory. They no longer pluck the leaves by hands. Its only done with machine. Only the most delicate ones are plucked by hands and sold as the premium quality tea. And according to them, the workers who can best do this job are the Indian workers!!!
Thats the hotel sitting right up on the mountain!!!!
One morning when I got up, this is what I could see from the hotel room balcony!! Absolutely nothing!! BLISS!!! It was like sleeping in the middle of the clouds!!!!!
So that was my wonderful little trip to Cameroon Highlands!!!!!
On a last note, let me remind you again about the MBP (Incase you are lost in the clouds :P
) Do send in your entries by the 20th of this month and I will do the round up in the final 10 days. All you have to do is dig into fellow bloggers posted recipes and make anyhting based on the theme of the month. This months theme is “Around The World” . So get going!!!!
Just a note to all those who have already posted for this event. I can see the post on your blog, but just so that I don’t have to go digging everywhere, kindly send in the details to blogcoffee at gmail dot com .
So see you this weekend when I take you on a trip to ITALY!!!!!
