The next pasta comes from Lakshmi with a K
who has used this bloggers recipe to make Penne Pasta with Lima Beans and Spinach
She has used Lima beans and spinach combination for the first time to bake this delicious and nutritious pasta with a bit of variation from the original recipe. ![]()
——————————————————————————————
And last but not the least its Sandeepa’s dil jo mangte hai Desi style pasta
(Sandeepa’s heart longs for desi style pasta) inspired by this recipe.

She also shares an interesting history about pasta with us which says: Pasta existed for thousands of years before anybody ever thought of putting tomatoe sauce on it. Cortez, a Spanish explorer, brought tomatoes back to Europe from Mexico in 1519. Even then, nearly 200 years passed before spaghetti served with tomatoe sauce made its way into Italian kitchens.
So thats all with the pasta’s!!!!!!
===============================================================
Lets move on to Noodles!!!!!!
Two of them tried her noodles !!!!!
The first one was Nalini who made Vegetable Chow-Mein!!!!
These noodles are an all time favoutire of her’s and her hubby’s. She has added her own variation to this by adding more veggies and using a different kind of noodles!! ![]()

So my stomach is now full with all the pastas and noodles. BURP!!!! ![]()

And her last entry is a killer!!!! She baked a Veggie Pie for the very first time and passed out with an A+!!! YAY!!!

She got inspired by her recipe of making Apple pie and substituted veggies instead! Very healthy thinking I must say Viji ![]()
—————————————————————————————–
Then we have Buttermilk Cornbread by Trini who got inspired by her.

She calls this bread as one of her “Fabulous Find” from her fellow bloggers.
—————————————————————————————–
Then we have this lovely Eggplant Parmesan sent by Swapna who made it from her blog.

Swapna say’s: Eggplant parmesan or melanzane alla parmagiana is a common Italian dish which originated in Naples. It typically includes sliced eggplant, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese, layered repeatedly, which are then baked. It is sometimes served on or with spaghetti. Some variations leave out the mozzarella, although this is rare.
——————————————————————————————
I also made this eggplant parmesan but because of my cam problems could not take any pic ![]()
The coated breadcrumbs gave a nice chewy coating to eggplant!!
I can run miles away from anything made of eggplant, but considering this dish was italian, I could not resist myself!!!!
================================================================
We have two side dishes with us!!!
She inspired Maheshwari to make this Chilli Chicken

When Maheshwari got to know about MBP she thought of thanking one of the first visitors to her blog who also encouraged and supported her, and no better way than making her dish for this event. ![]()
Good thinking Maheshwari!!! Kill two birds with one stone.
——————————————————————————————
Another side dish is by Rinku who made A nice dark beauty! from here

She has made this interesting dish combining chicken with a sauce made from cocoa!!!! Yeah thats right, COCOA!!!! No typo there!!!
================================================================
“Off the skillet” we have two entries by our very creative Pooja.
which she made from here and here

She has also made some interesting variations to the original dishes. ![]()
===============================================================
We have two rice dishes with us.
Pavni tried these lovely looking Chinese Fried Rice from here

This has been a staple in her house ever since she got hooked on to them. ![]()
——————————————————————————————
Rachel made these lovely looking Curried Pumpkin and Rice from here

She had a refreshingly filling experience with this dish and says: The final dish comes out more like and Italian Risotto than what I consider to be a traditional, saucy curry. And while it is filling, unlike Risotto, it is not overly heavy. It is almost refreshingly fulfilling if that makes sense. There must be something about the pumpkin. I did prefer it when I left my pumpkin in cubes rather than smashing the bits up as the recipe suggests. And I added a lot of Cilantro because that added an element of freshness.
——————————————————————————————
And finally we have two indian dishes
as an international cuisine to Linda of Out of the garden which she made from here and here

She made these two dishes with completely contrasting tastes, but equally delicious!
