MBP Finger Foods and Starters (Round Up)

My humble apologies for this delay in posting the round up. But what with fast paced life in India I didn’t realize where my time was going!!!

Life is certainly fast paced here!!!! I feel I am living a so much more relaxed life back in Singapore!! :) 1 day in India is equivalent to 3 days there!!!!

Anyways, lets keep this for some other post. I have made you all wait enough so without much ado let get on with the round up!!!!! My apologies for any mistakes you come across….. since I was highly distracted with road side foods and shopping and meeting people here :D . Do let me know if you come across any :)

Lets start with the entries in the order they were posted….

This wonderful mom wants to make her kids… both big and small ;) eat Indian food!!! So she is out on a mission to create a magic of Indian food in her family every month!!!! This month she shows her whole platter of Indian foods she made for her family…….

1.She started off with Asha’s Peanut Chicken (with her own addition of baby corn)

6.Next we have Prema, who on her daughters insistance came up with her own recipe of these lovely Cheese sticks !!!! Prema, this isn’t from any other blogger I suppose, but I had no heart to reject such a wonderful entry!!!!!! :)

7.Inspired from Indira’s, Sangeeta made these lovely Hare Chane ke Kebab - Green Garbanzo Kebabs  for the superbowl party held at her friends place. :)

8.LakshmiK made Baked methi biscuits !!!!  She made this wonderful snack like crispy finger food from Shammi’s :) Check out her variation where she gives a wonderful tip to avoid getting dry biscuits. :)

10.Seema has made a lovely variation of Soumya’s Mini Pizza!!!! Very cleverly turning them out into a thin base, she made these yummy looking Pizza Biscuits!!!!!

11.We have a new blog friend on board this time. :) SJ made these wonderfully creative Potato-Beet Breadrolls from Sandeepa’s :)

12.Another new blogger buddy Swapna made these Samosa’s from my recipe!!!!! YAY!!!! After coming to US, for 5 months she was missing all the junk food and thats when she started digging around for something……. thats how my samosa’s got to her. :) Thanks Swapna. :)

13.14.Asha comes in with her lovely chrunchy munchies!!!! :) She made these “madhur” Maddur  Wadas which are sold at Maddur Railway station wrapped in Banana leaves sometimes and in small restaurants served in Steel plates, in a small town called “Maddur” between Bangalore and Mysore in Karanataka,India from Latha’s and another classic South Indian snack Thattai/Nipattu from MT’s. :)  And she assures that these are the most wonderful,delicious, crunchy and easy snack for winter. :)

15.16.17. Our friend Linda was on a fry fest!!!!! :D She was eyeing Supriya’s Plantain Kababs and Asha’s Palak Onion Pakodas and she loved them for the spicy-tangy taste, crispy outside and melting-soft inside. And finally she tried Shaheen’s Stuffed Okra Fritters with her own little variation in it. :) PHEW!!!!!!! Thats some fry fest Linda. :)

18.Check out Swapna’s variation of Palak tawa Kebab from Sailu’s. :) She has added her own variation of carrot in it. :)

21. Instead of just oogling at the recipes, Suma got a good chance to come out of her laziness and cook something from the fellow bloggers. :) So after postponing making these pakoda’s for a long time, with this event she got a chance to try out Asha’s Spinach Carrot Pakoda’s :)

22. After some brick idli throwing event, our dear Trupti finally came across this wonderful secret of making yummy fluffy clouds by Seema!!! :) She could show her mum and MIL and aunt that she is no less than them in making these wonderful idli’s!!! :)

23. One more fluffy cloud by Sri, but a yellow one this time!! :) Check out how she and her little one churned out this wonderfully soft Jhatpat Khaman Dhokla from ARAD’s.

24. Check out Sandeepa’s version of Chicken masala balls from Sailu’s. :) And also read how her daughter has already started to walk on mums footsteps and relying on the internet for churning out some wonderful dishes. :) Like mother like daughter!! :D

25. Anjali made these wonderful Gunta Pangana, Paddu, Appe from Asha’s and also from MT’s .

I am also getting one from India!!!! So now I know who all to visit for them. :)

26. Our dear Manasi made these wonderful Potato and Peas Cups (minus the peas) from Priya’s!!! :)  She churned out a wonderful healthy variation of the otherwise fried samosa!!! :) Taking care of the heart she is a real cook at heart I must say!! :D

27. Check out Mandira’s version of Ma’moul from Indira’s!! :) With a few minor changes in the dough and a wonderful addition of honey and ginger to the filling she has given a nice touch to this Middle eastern cookie. :)

Mandira, I was eyeing to make this since a long time too. :) Now with your version I am tempted even more!!!!! :D

27. Our dear Anisha tried out this healthy version of Egg Tofu Rolls from Mandira’s :) And this absolutely nostalgic Mango Pickle from Jayashree’s!!!! :) Slurp!!! I am drooling all over!!!! :)

28. After oogling at the shops, Viji finally decided to try out croissants herself!! :) And what with detailed instruction from Delicious say!!!! Even a novice can do it with ease. :)

29. What a wonderfully healthy snack from Vani, inspired by Seema’s!!!!!! A healthy variation to the otherwise oily fried snacks. :)
