Coffee Unearthed… ;)

So its bragging time for me!!!!!! I have been asked to reveal 7 things about me yet again. Out of 7 things only 6 are true and one is incorrect. Can you guess which one is that?

This is the blog that made me blog. I was introduced to this world of blogging through a friend who happened to show me this and this. From there I went link hopping and discovered this whole new world of food blogging. I used to wonder why in the world should someone portray what he/she is cooking in his/her kitchen and giving such an elaborate account of it with pics and all.. least did I know that I would be one of them you one day. :)

I have never tasted tea as yet in my life and it’s also the only thing that makes me sweat when I have to make tea for someone. Since I have never had it, I cannot judge the taste with additions of this and that. I make it purely in a mechanical way and alert whoever is going to have it !!! You tell me to make coffee and I can make it even in my sleep….. whichever way you want. filter coffee or frothed cappuccino or the normal instant coffee…… but tea!

I used to be an avid reader! You will find me with a book anywhere and everywhere. On a bus stop, in the train, even walking!!! And I have had some mishaps with it as well !!! This used to be till about 2 yrs back when I got a good wake up call and my eyes really gave up!! Since then my reading has almost ceased. Whatever strain my eyes can take is all taken up by my 8-10 hours in front of this 13 inch! :(

My list of phobias is quite long…..

  • Achluophobia - Fear of darkness,
  • Apiphobia - Fear of bees,
  • Arachibutyrophobia - Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth,
  • Bathophobia - Fear of depth,
  • Claustrophobia - Fear of confined spaces,
  • Cleithrophobia - Fear of being enclosed.

………………I think thats enough for the time being. :roll:

I was born with 6 toes!! of course it was operated soon but I still have the marks.

I hate making lists, so everything is rather unorganised and chaotic!! I mostly rely on my grey and white mater rathar than ‘post it’ notes sticking here and there…. and invariably after landing onto the ailes of a supermarket will I wonder what is it that I am missing from a list of things that I had so memorised!!!

Travelling is something which is always associated with me (I mean the usual everyday travelling) Back in college, I used to travel 1 hour going and coming from home, my medical college was right on the other end from my home, so it was two hours going and 2 coming by train - local trains in bbay!!! Even right now, I stay at one end of Singapore and travel to the other end everyday….. though it’s a small place, (even smaller than bbay) I still travel about 1.5 hrs in the morning and evening!!

    jeeee i have no clue…. maybe the tea making one… if u can make coffee, than im sure u dont need to sweat it out to make tea…. (just a wild guess :) ) … nice meme though… so many phobias!!! i have huge arachnophobia…..eeeeee (even thinking about it is giving me ripples on my spine)

    Coffee I make with all my heart and soul in it…… tea I make it mechanically!!! :)

    Is the tea bit the incorrect one? In my case, it’s true, we drink neither at home and don’t even stock tea or coffee, unless we’re expecting guests, and then we buy instant and cringe as they make faces!

    Tea is correct…. never had tea. :)

    the six toes has to be untrue!! first thought the tea bit, but you’d suggested chilli and chai to me when i was feeling blue last month…so has to be the toes!!

    LOL coffee, i too have never tasted tea in my life. cant stand its smell :twisted:
    all 7 points sounds true, its difficult to guess which one is wrong!!! may be the one with books? nah… is it abt ur phobias? or hw abt making lists?????????

    Btw, I remember you mentioning somewhere that you make a list of things u want to cook for the week, so if u re such an organised person, I cant believe that you never write it down…so perhaps the 6th one?

    I am not North Indian my dear……. Mumbai/ Gujrat(thats only becausue I am a gujrati but havent been there except for just visiting few relatives) are in the western part of india…

    Great Meme Coffee.
    If the tea one is true abt you - i can’t believe you’ve never tried it. It was while studying in Singapore that I started liking tea - used to have the ‘they alia’ Ginger tea at the hawker center closeby to keep me awake before exams.

    I seriously havent tasted tea as yet. :) Teh alia is something which I run far away from…… its the small which puts me off!!

    Coffee’s secret revealed :twisted: Over the weekend I will usually make a list of ‘things to make’ for the following week and then accordingly shop for the groceries and veggies over the weekend.

    Coffee, Tasting the tea is something that i havn’t done till date bcoz of its smell and you are so right about sweating when making tea. Now my in-laws are here and I hesitate each day to make tea for my FIL as he lovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeees tea and I can’t decide if i am making it good. Every day I have to ask my MIL if its ok. :grin: . About one thing thats not right I go with Asha here. I think your are very organized. At least from your roundups you seem to be very organized. I am waiting to know if I am right? :lol:

    OOOH loved reading the Me me. i am last indeed :lol: hey you indeed are well organised, which i remember reading somewhere in the comment of one of the blogs. travelling i too travel the distance so you from east to west, me from north to east. tea haven’t tasted oooh i too had never until coffee was banned for me which got me on to tea… ha ha.. i still prefer to have coffee once a while. the phobias all very true. nice heading…..

    Nice meme Coffee. Though I have tasted coffee and tea a few times , I am not a regular drinker of these. So when I make tea or coffe for others I do it with calculation, 1 tsp powder and 2 tsp sugar, as I do not know the exact taste of these two.
